Installing your plug-ins

A quick guide to installing, trying and activating any VTEK THE AUDIO plug-in.

1. Download the installer: sign in and open Downloads → Owned Downloads, then download the installer for your product. On Mac, open the .pkg and follow the prompts. On Windows, run the .exe and accept the default plug-in folders.
2. Rescan in your DAW: open your DAW and rescan its plug-in list (most do this automatically) so it finds the AU or VST3 version for your host.
3. Start your free trial: load the plug-in on a track. Every VTEK plug-in runs in full for 7 days before it needs a licence.
4. Find your Machine ID: click the days-remaining counter inside the plug-in to reveal your Machine ID — a 20-character code unique to that computer.
5. Activate your licence: after buying, go to Account → Licences, paste your Machine ID and press Activate. We generate your unlock code and email it to you.
6. Enter your code: paste the code into the same field where you found your Machine ID. It unlocks the plug-in instantly — no restart needed.
7. Moving to a new machine: each licence covers up to 3 machines at a time. Deactivate one from Licences to free a slot for another computer.
